Dyno Proven Performance

Tested on a completely stock saw with no modifications other than the muffler cover. Results showed an 13.7% increase in horsepower, and an 12.3%  increase in torque. Performance gains will vary depending on the saw and the level of modification.

Compatible Models:
STIHL MS 261, MS 261 C, MS 261 C-M (Version 3.0+ only)

Note: Not compatible with M-Tronic Version 2.0 or older. Early M-Tronic systems may not support this modification due to limited fuel adjustment capabilities. Carbureted models are fully compatible.

How to Check Your M-Tronic Version:
Version 3.0+ saws typically have a manufacture date of 2019 or later. You can also check the control module part number or consult a STIHL dealer for confirmation.

• CNC machined from 6061 T6 billet aluminum, a high-strength aerospace alloy that dissipates heat much faster than steel, improving engine cooling and extending part life
• Includes muffler base, one-piece muffler cover, high-temp gasket (between cover and base), spark arrestor screen with aperture size compliant with USFS specifications, and stainless steel hardware
• Comes with a replaceable, USFS-approved stainless steel spark arrestor

Installation Notes:

• Apply thread locker on all mounting screws for secure, vibration-resistant assembly
• Post-installation tuning is required for optimal performance
