Description

Finally, a performance foam air filter for the MS462 chainsaw. The design of the top covers prohibits a max flow, so Nick Stoeckel came up with a simple washable filter to not only help your saw suck in more air, but be a much better filter than the standard Stihl filters, which are prone to letting dust through.

Fitting is simplicity,

remove the top cover and existing filter.

Undo the 2 8mm nuts and remove the outer spacer, then refit the nuts to hold the inner spacer in place

Fit the Stoeckel filter on to the inner spacer and tighten the clamp

Refit the top cover. Just remember to oil the filter with a suitable air filter oil before fitting!

Like performance filters in cars, a light application of air filter oil is needed, which needs to be       re-applied each time you wash the filter.
